Abstract

The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words containing short descriptions of the problem on hand, the purpose(s) of the paper, the material(s) and/or method(s) used, the result(s) obtained, the analyses and/or deduction(s) made, the conclusion(s) reached and the contribution(s) to knowledge and/or practice.

Keywords: Enter 5 keywords or phrases in sentence case, separated by commas and ending with a full stop.

Manuscript Body

The entire document should be in Times New Roman font. Other font types may be used if needed for special purposes.

Section Headings

No more than 3 levels of headings should be used.  All headings must be in 10pt font.

• Level-1 Heading: A level-1 heading must be centred and numbered using Arabic numerals. The two level-1 headings which must not be numbered are “Acknowledgement” and “References”. All level-1 headings must be in capital letters.
• Level-2 Heading: A level-2 heading must be in regular font, left-justified and numbered appropriately.  For example, see heading “3.3. Section Headings” above.
• Level-3 Heading: A level-3 heading must be indented, in italics and numbered with an Arabic numeral followed by a right parenthesis. The level-3 heading must end with a colon.  The body of the level-3 section immediately follows the level-3 heading in the same paragraph.  For example, this paragraph begins with a level-3 heading.

Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be centred in the column.  Large figures and tables may span across both columns.  Any table or figure that takes up more than 1 column width must be positioned appropriately.

Graphics should be full coloured. They must not use stipple fill patterns because they may not be reproduced properly.  Please, use only SOLID FILL colours which contrast well both on screen and on a black-and-white hard copy.

Please check all the figures in the paper, both on screen and on a black-and-white hardcopy. When you check your paper on a black-and-white hard copy, please ensure that:

• The colours used in each figure contrast well.
• The image used in each figure is clear, and
• All text labels in each figure are legible.

Figure Captions

Figures must be numbered using Arabic numerals.  Figure captions must be in 10 pt regular font. Captions should be centralised. Captions with figure numbers must be placed after their associated figures.

Table Captions

Tables must be numbered using uppercase Arabic numerals.  Table captions must be centralised and in 10 pt regular font.  Every word in a table caption must be in lower case except the first letter and for proper nouns. Captions with table numbers must be placed before their associated tables.

Page Numbers, Headers and Footers

Page numbers, headers and footers must not be used, except the ones on this template.

Links and Bookmarks

All hypertext links and section bookmarks will be removed from papers during the processing of papers for publication.  If you need to refer to an Internet email address or URL in your paper, you must type out the address or URL fully in regular font.

Citations and References

The references must be cited within the text using square brackets [1]. If there are two or more references to be cited at the same time, they may be put in one set of brackets [2, 4] or [2-5] as the case may be. The heading of the References section must not be numbered. All reference items must be in 10-point Times New Roman font following the style (Harvard) given in the Reference Section of this document. The references are to be numbered in the order in which they appear and are cited within the text.

Manuscript Submission

The submitted article must not exceed 20% similarity index (Note: All submitted article will be subjected to similarity check using Turnitin plagiarism checker.)

Manuscript Review

Manuscripts submitted to AJEAS for consideration for publication shall undergo peer review.

An article processing fee of N10,000 (ten thousand Naira) is to be paid before paper review. An article publication fee of N20,000 (twenty thousand Naira) is to be paid after paper review (before publication).
