Call for Papers
The 2023 elections in Nigeria call for reflections about the events before, during and after the conduct of the elections. With the declaration of the results of the general elections, Nigeria has now successfully conducted seven (7) general elections in the Fourth Republic. Critics have argued that the elections are far from perfect, yet as a commitment to democracy, the Nigerian state has continued to ensure that elections hold, notwithstanding the palpable fear that pervades the air when elections approach. Indeed, Nigeria has demonstrated commitment to the ballot box as an integral part of shifting power to the people. However, it is important to submit to evaluation the electoral process and democratic governance in Nigeria in order to draw out lessons for the future. African Journal of Stability and Development hereby calls for publishable articles touching on diverse themes bordering on the 2023 elections and democratic governance in Nigeria since 1999.
However, this edition will also publish articles in other areas of interest sent for publication.
