ABUAD Journal of Engineering Research and Development (AJERD) is a double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal, which is domiciled in the College of Engineering of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Ekiti State, Nigeria. The aim of AJERD is to promote the discovery, advancement and dissemination of innovative and novel original research and development results in different branches of engineering to the wider public. AJERD provides a platform for fast publication of research and development outputs. Apart from the journal-level digital object identifier (DOI) https://doi.org/10.53982/ajerd, all papers which are freely available online have individual permanent web identifier. The abstracts will be submitted for indexing in major academic databases. The journal accepts original research contributions that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Due to the large number of submissions coming in, our publications are now scheduled for April, August, and December with effect from 2025 (Volume 8).

The Editor in Chief of ABUAD Journal of Engineering Research and Development (AJERD), on behalf of the Editorial Team and Reviewers is highly delighted to inform the general public that AJERD website now features improved article display and download formats. Also our publications are now scheduled for April, August, and December with effect from 2025 (Volume 8), due to the large number of submissions coming in.
AJERD is indexed in African Journals OnLine (AJOL) and rated 2-star according to the JPPS criteria (https://www.ajol.info/index.php/abuadjerd). Additionally, the AJERD API integration into Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has been successfully completed; as a result, all published and upcoming papers will be indexed and available on DOAJ (https://doaj.org/toc/2645-2685).
Submission and processing of manuscript are now done free of charge with effect from 12th January, 2025. All manuscripts submitted shall be subject to a flat article processing charge payable upon acceptance as follows;
- Local authors: ₦40,000.00 (forty thousand Naira) only.
- International authors: $100.00 (one hundred USD) only.
The article processing charge is for online publication only. Hard copies of the journal will be made available upon author's request. Such requests will therefore attract printing and postage service charges that will be communicated to the author via email.
