Aim & Scope

ABUAD Journal of Biomedical & Clinical Sciences (AJBCS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed open-access journal, which is domiciled in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Ekiti State, Nigeria. The ABUAD Journal of Biomedical & Clinical Sciences (AJBCS) is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of biomedical and clinical sciences. The journal aims to serve as a dynamic platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that bridges basic scientific inquiry with clinical application, thereby contributing to improved health outcomes, particularly within the African context and globally. AJBCS provides a platform for the fast publication of research and development outputs. All papers are freely available online with a permanent web identifier. The abstracts will be submitted for indexing in major academic databases. The journal accepts original research contributions that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Scope of AJBCS includes, but is not limited to:

Biomedical and Life Science Research: Anatomical sciences, neuroscience, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, immunology, physiology, pharmacology and toxicology.

Clinical Sciences: Internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, public health, medical imaging, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology

Translational Research: Studies that connect laboratory findings to clinical practice.

Epidemiological and Community Health Studies: Disease surveillance, health promotion and population health strategies.

Innovative Diagnostics and Therapeutics: Development and evaluation of diagnostic tools, drugs and treatment protocols.

Case Reports and Clinical Reviews: Uncommon clinical cases or reviews that highlight new insights into diagnosis or management.

The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, case reports and short communications. Priority is given to manuscripts that demonstrate scientific rigour, ethical integrity and relevance to current health challenges, especially in developing regions.
